Long Form 2 min

Hello

and welcome to Thinking Ground. I’m really excited about this new endeavor.

Most of the internet is spam. I don’t like most of the internet. I am subscribed to a few internet blogs via RSS and I love getting their content. I also listen to a few podcasts religiously.

I don’t like that the only place where people post things is on their Meta-induced accounts. I really dislike short-form videos, I think they should be banned. And I’ve noticed that even my own attention has somewhat degraded since my university days even though my short-form content consumption is limited.

I used to read and learn about new things all the time. For the past few years, most days I’m “learning” about a new model release or product announcement, which is still exciting, but not really where I want to keep my mind.

So I want to write more, create more. I want to bring you some interesting links or tell you about the things I’m working on, my struggles with the things I’m working on and more. This website is my attempt at it. I want to create small tools to solve the everyday annoyances of using computers and gift them to you.

I also want to embark on a few larger projects (like I don’t have enough already) where sharing updates and some WIP screenshots would give me another angle to look at things.

Oh and you can see these custom drawings at the end of some of the posts. I call them MARKs. They are really cute and fun to make and (at least for me) they make the site cuter and more fun! And I miss the fun internet.

See you around.

Thank you for reading Thinking Ground.
